Omar is a University of Toronto graduate with a HBSc. in life sciences as a neuroscience and physiology double major. Since November 2020, he has been working as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Mary Pat McAndrews. He assisted in researching the development of the language network, and is assisting in ongoing research investigating brain signal variability in left-temporal lobe epilepsy patients as a mechanism for memory network resiliency post-resection surgery. Omar is interested in studying post-treatment cognitive ability changes and how they can be minimized.
