Caspian Sawczak, MA, PhD Candidate
Graduate Student

Caspian Sawczak is a PhD candidate at the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto under the co-supervision of Mary Pat McAndrews and Morris Moscovitch, affiliated with the Krembil Brain Institute at Toronto Western Hospital. He is interested in the vivid recollection and imagination of events and how these hippocampally-mediated processes influence empathy and social decision-making. He primarily uses behavioural paradigms in healthy young and older adults as well as individuals with hippocampal excisions, though has also analyzed neuroimaging data for other projects.
